New Mythic Blade Event in Pokémon GO Brings Trainers Ticketed Event Featuring Keldeo

Trainers! The Season of Mythical Wishes in Pokémon GO is bringing the Mythic Blade event and Ordinary Form Keldeo to the game via a ticketed Special Research story.

Alongside the introduction of Keldeo, Pokémon GO is also introducing Crabrawler, alongside a few additional surprises.

Keldeo Arrives to Pokémon GO During Mythic Blade Event

Known as the Mythic Blade event, it starts Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. and lasts from Sunday, Dec. 11 at 8:00 p.m. local time. During this time, Trainers can purchase a $7.99 ticket that includes the Special Research story “Something Extraordinary”. Trainers must purchase a ticket to the Special Research during the event. Trainers will then be able to complete it at any time.

Along with a chance to encounter Keldeo during the Special Research, Trainers will also receive:

  • Keldeo T-Shirt avatar item
  • 14 Rare Candies
  • 12 Siler Pinap Berries
  • 2 Incubators
  • 2 Super Incubators
  • 2 Incense
  • Various Fighting-type and Water-type Pokémon encounters

Incense Encounters and Regular Encounters

Ticket holders will see the following Pokémon appear more frequently from incense: Machop*, Hitmonlee*, Hitmonchan*, Hitmontop*, Beldum*, Tympole* and Ferroseed. All Pokémon listed have a chance of being shiny.

During the event, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild for ticket and non-ticket holders (* denotes shiny chance); Mankey*, Machop*, Hitmonlee*, Hitmonchan*, Hitmontop*, Combusken*, Makuhita*, Meditite*, Menferno. Lucky trainers may encounter a Poliwrath or Crabrawler.

Raids, Mega Raids and Collection Challenges

Additionally, the following Pokémon will appear in raids:

  • One-Star: Meditite*, Buizel*, Timburr* and Tympole*
  • Three-Star: Poliwrath, Aerodactyl*, Skarmory* and Breloom
  • Five-Star: Terrakion* and Virizion*

Virizion will appear in Raids until Dec. 8, at which time Terrakion will switch over to Raids until Dec. 15 at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Mega Aggron will be appearing in Mega Raids.

Field Research tasks encounters include Galarian Farfetch’d*, Hitmonlee*, Hitmonchan* and Hitmontop*

There will also be a special Collection Challenge arriving.

While this event is extremely similar to the Galarian Mr. Mime event that was held a ways back, it’s a great way for Trainers to get early-access to Keldeo. While this isn’t necessarily a must-play event, the chance to get Keldeo before anyone else may be alluring to some Trainers.
