How to Obtain Charizard with a Dragon Tera Type in Scarlet and Violet for a Limited Time

The first seven-star raid is arriving to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and naturally it’s a Charizard featuring the dragon Tera Type.

Currently the only way to get Charizard in Scarlet and Violet, we’re going to take a look at how Trainers can battle and catch this popular Pokémon.

Dragon Tera Type Charizard Arrives to Scarlet and Violet

Ending Dec. 4, Charizard’s black crystal Tera Raid will also be available from Dec. 15-18. However, Trainers will only be able to catch one Charizard per game. Though, you are able to redo the raid in order to get more bonuses.

Trainers will be able to receive one Raid of their own everyday, but can join as many raids as they wish through the Poké Portal.

Trainers may want to grab this Charizard, as it’s quite the beast. Not only will it be Level 100 and feature the Mightiest Mark (bragging that you got it during this event), it will also feature perfect base stats, a modest nature, and its hidden ability Solar Power.

Trainers will need to have unlocked six-star raids to find this Charizard on their own. Those that have not completed this portion can find the Raids online. You can also find them through link codes.

How to Defeat and Capture the Dragon Tera Type Charizard

For this raid, Azumarill or any strong Fairy Type will be a massive help against Charizard’s Dragon Typing. Make sure you focus on the Fairy Type and having a high level. Polygon recommends an Azumarill that has the moves Belly Drum and Play Rough. The move Rain Dance can also be a big help.

Of course, remember to heal yourself and your teammates through cheering, while also doing the “Hang tough!” Cheer to boost defense and special defense stats.

Best of luck when hunting for Charizard with the Dragon Tera Type. Remember that this Pokémon is available until Dec. 4, but players are able to also get it Dec. 15-18.
