Today The Pokémon Company has officially announced the last Sword and Shield set for the TCG: Crown Zenith.
Making its way to Trainers Jan. 20, the new set features a bevy of cards to end the Sword and Shield line.
Pokémon Company Announces Crown Zenith, Last SW/SH Set for TCG
The Pokémon Company has announced the last Sword and Shield set for the TCG, Crown Zenith. Featuring over 160 cards, the new set features new radiant, VMAX and VSTAR Pokémon.
Focusing on Zacian and Zamazenta, The Pokémon Company stated in a press release:
The Legendary heroes Zacian and Zamazenta shine with new VSTAR Powers, and an all-star assembly of Pokémon and Trainers arrive to celebrate the era of Pokémon V! Discover dazzling special illustrations in the Galarian Gallery, and wield the strength of rare and powerful Pokémon, including Charizard as both a Pokémon VSTAR and Radiant Pokémon. Many more Pokémon have their own tales to tell in battle as the Sword & Shield Series reaches its towering peak in the Pokémon TCG: Crown Zenith/expansion!
The Crown Zenith set includes:
- Over 160 Cards
- 3 brand-new Radiant Pokémon, including Charizard
- 5 Pokémon VMAX
- 8 Pokémon VSTAR, including Zamazenta and Zacian
- 17 Pokémon V
- 70 cards featuring special artwork in the Galarian Gallery
For those that like to see cards ahead of the release, JustinBasil has provided a visual set list for the cards that will potentially be in Crown Zenith. This includes the potential Galarian Gallery cards, which look phenomenal. The new Mew Galarian Gallery card may be the leader of the set in terms of visuals.

Staggering the New TCG Set Releases
Additionally, PokeBeach reports that booster packs for this set will only be available through special products. Seeing a staggered release from January until May, PokeBeach notes that this set will see the longest release period of any TCG set.
These products and release dates include:
- Jan. 20, 2023: Crown Zenith Elite Trainer Box. Includes accessories, 10 Crown Zenith booster packs and a special Lucario VSTAR promo.
- Jan. 20, 2023: Crown Zenith Collection, Regieleki V or Regidrago V: Will feature four booster packs, one promo and oversize card focusing on the Regis as well as one non-V foil promo.
- Feb. 17, 2023: Crown Zenith Mini Tins: Includes a sticker sheet and two booster packs.
- Feb. 17, 2023: Crown Zenith Special Collection: Pikachu VMAX: Includes five booster packs, an etched promo card and oversize card featuring Pikachu VMAX. Also contains one foil Pikachu V promo card
- Mar. 17, 2023: Crown Zenith Tins: Five booster packs, one full art promo featuring one of the three Galarian birds
- April 14, 2023: Crown Zenith Pin Collection Featuring Galarian starters: Includes three boosters packs, one promo card featuring one of the Galarian starters and corresponding pin
- April 14, 2023: Crown Zenith Playmat Collection: Morpeko V-UNION: Includes four booster packs, four Morpeko V-UNION cards, Professor Burnet card, one playmate and one oversize card
- May 5, 2023: Crown Zenith Premium Figure Collection: Shiny Zacian or Shiny Zamazenta: Features 11 booster packs, one etched promo card featuring Shiny Zacian Z or Shiny Zamazenta V, one Shiny corresponding figure and pin and one set of card sleeves

Looking Ahead
For collectors, the Premium Figure Collection and Shiny Legendaries collections should be a must, whereas the Morpeko V-UNION sounds rather ridiculous. Considering this last set is going to bleed into the Scarlet and Violet base set release, there’s sure to be a lot to keep collectors and players entertained.
