Top 5 Pokémon Missing from Sword and Shield’s Galar Coming to Scarlet and Violet’s Paldea

Scarlet and Violet are just around the corner, Trainers, and we’re looking at Pokémon in the Paldea region not found in Sword and Shield’s Galar.

With less than a month away from the release date, the Pokédex is beginning to take shape, and in addition to new monsters to be found in the region, many are finding habitats of their old friends as well.

Looking at Five Pokémon Found in Paldea Lacking in Galar

Scarlet and Violet release Nov. 18, and with that, Trainers will soon get to explore the Paldea region. Along with several new Pokémon, plenty of old favorites are also making their return.

The kind folks at serebii.net have compiled a list of Pokémon confirmed to be found in the Paldea region, so let’s take a look at some of the best that were missing from the previous Gala region.

The Lovable Pokémon Ampharos

What’s not to love about the tall and yellow electric boi? Sorely missing from the Galar region, this Johto beast just couldn’t seem to make its way to Galar. Maybe their arms aren’t long enough for them to swim? Maybe?

Slaking the Heftiest of Pokés

While some may find Slaking to be little more than a Snorlax ripoff, what’s not to love about the entire Slakoth line? Nothing, that’s what. Though smart players need to work around Truant, Slaking should look great lurking around the Paldea region.

Zangoose/Seviper Fighting Big in Paldea

These two are getting lumped together since all they want to do is fight. Seriously, nearly every Pokédex entry can’t avoid the beef these two have. It’s a swing on sight world with these two, and it’s a feud that will hopefully payout wonderfully in the Paldea region. Additionally, with reports indicating that Pokémon will interact with each other in the wild, these two should put on an excellent show.

Where was Hpyno in Legends: Arcues? Or Galar?

Drowszee and Hypno fans should be happy to see the return of these psychic monsters. Strangely, these Pokémon also should have found their way to the Hisui region, though this sadly just isn’t the case. Getting snubbed in both SW/SH and Arceus, it’s time these two made a comeback.

Girafarig Gets a New Evo in Paldea, Missing Entirely from Galar

Okay, of course this fella is making the list. Because Farigiraf is amazing. While many were hoping Dunsparce was finally going to see some love, discovering Farigiraf is almost just as sweet. Catching the new Farigiraf making moves in the Paldea region should be a sight to behold. Catching one may be even better for some players. Hopefully Farigiraf will also have an excellent shiny.
