Pokémon TCG Expansion Silver Tempest Arrives in November: A Look at More New Cards

The new expansions for the Pokémon TCG is coming soon, and many of the cards from Silver Tempest are already making their way to the internet.

Today, we’re looking at the new new Ho-Oh V, as well as some other cards that will be available in the new Silver Tempest set.

New Cards Arriving to Silver Tempest Expansion

With the release of Silver Tempest coming Nov. 11, many are already starting to feel the excitement of the arriving set. A post from IGN shares a new look at the Ho-Oh V that’s arriving to Silver Tempest, and the card will likely be making big moves in tournaments.

Ho-Oh V has the ability Reviving Flame, which states,

Once during your turn, if this Pokémon is in your discard pile, you may put it on to your Bench. If you do, attach up to 4 basic Energy cards from your discard pile to this Pokémon. If you use this ability, your turn ends.

It also includes the move Rainbow Burn, which requires four basic energy. The rule for the move is “This attack does 30 more damage for each type of basic Energy attached to this Pokémon”. It will be interesting to see if anyone pairs it with the new Lugia V.

While it does have an expensive move, figuring out how to get it into your discard pile without knocking it out could make for a great strat. Considering rotations just happened, it will be interesting to see how tournament players utilize this card, if at all.

Additionally, Pokémon TCG Restocks & News posted a Tweet showing a new Secret Rare from Silver Tempest. The Worker Secret Rare has some nice full art, though the leaked photo is in Japanese. The Twitter account also revealed the Alt Art for Redridrago V, which looks incredible. No doubt collectors will do their best to try and grab that card.

Of course, JustinBasil also has what he believes will be the cards available in Silver Tempest. Feel free to check out their website and get a look at the full collection.

Personally, I’m gonna try and run a jank Dragapult deck, because of course I am.

What are you looking forward to in Silver Tempest? Let us know in the comments.
