Pokémon Company Unveils Bellibolt Arriving to Paldea in Scarlet and Violet

Today The Pokémon Company has unveiled the new Pokémon Bellibolt within a new teaser trailer for Scarlet and Violet.

Bellibolt is a Pokémon found in Paldea, and can be seen teaming up with the Electric Gym Leader Iono.

Pokémon Company Introduces Bellibolt In Scarlet and Violet

Earlier in the week, the Official Pokémon YouTube Channel posted a teaser trailer introducing trainers to the new Gym Leader Iono: an overly-energetic influencer.

Today, the channel has now posted two new teasers showing off the new Pokémon. Within the first video, trainers return to Iono’s recording studio wherein she shows off the new Pokémon to the world.

Showing actual game play of the new Scarlet and Violet, the second teaser introduces the world to Bellibolt in a Gym setting. Round, green and full of electricity, the new EleFrog Pokémon is already making waves within the Pokémon community.

According to the official Pokémon page,

Bellibolt expands and contracts its elastic body to generate electricity in an organ that looks like a belly button. The huge amount of electricity generated this way is then discharged from the two bumps on either side of its head that resemble eyeballs.
Its actual eyes are adorably small and round, so when it tries to be intimidating, it puts the eyelike bumps to good use.

Additionally, Bellibolt also comes with the new Ability Electromorphosis. Whenever Bellibolt is hit by an attack, Electromorphosis will boost power to the next Electric-type move that it uses.

With Scarlet and Violet arriving Nov. 18, no doubt more news concerning this new world will begin to emerge. Many are still waiting for the new starter Pokémon to see their evolutions get revealed, and many are also anticipating the PokéDex for the region. Additionally, be sure to follow The Pika Pika Times to keep up with the latest Scarlet and Violet news.
