Trainers! Nintendo is offering those who purchase Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet early will receive a Pikachu as a special gift.
Those that purchase either game early will receive a special Pikachu.
Receive a Tera Type Flying Pikachu When You Purchase ‘Scarlet’ or ‘Violet’
With the upcoming release of Scarlet and Violet, Pokémon is offering fans a unique Pikachu to those who preorder the game.
The new Pikachu is rather unique for two reasons. First, it is capable of learning the move Fly, which only special Pikachus can learn. Second, the Tera Type for this Pokémon will be Flying. This can make the Pikachu rather interesting to use in certain battles, or it can also just be something fun to collect. For those that are trying to complete the Living Dex in rather hardcore ways, you’ll be sure to want to pick up this Pikachu.
While the official website does not mention when this offer expires, folks who do receive the preorder code will be able to redeem the offer through Mystery Gift by Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023.
Additionally, those looking for the special Tera Type Pikachu will need to make sure that their Nintendo Switch has access to the internet to claim this bonus. Users will also make sure their system is linked to a Nintendo Account in order to connect to the internet.
Furthermore, Pokémon also notes that it will take at least an hour to an hour and a half of play time before accessing the Mystery Gift feature.
Another Special Offer
In addition to the Flying Pikachu, trainers that pre-order Scarlet or Violet through the Pokémon Center will be able to receive a limited edition Floral-print Sport Backpack at the start of their adventure. The offer for this pre-order ends Nov. 11, 2022. Those that purchase the game will receive an email with redemption instructions. The Pokémon Center will email instructions by Nov. 18, 2022.
So far, what has been revealed within the world of Scarlet and Violet looks like it should keep trainers happy for quite awhile. The new Tera Type feature, while a bit controversial, should make for some interesting play in Leagues. Of course, people won’t know the full extent of how well Tera Forming will play out until the we got a full look at the Dex.
