Trainers! Dratini is coming back to Pokémon GO for a Community Day Classic event!
From Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, users will once again have the chance to encounter even more Dratini in the wild. If you’re lucky, you may even encounter a lucky!
Dratini Returns for Community Day Classic Nov. 5
For the month of November, Community Day Classic returns with the Dragon Pokémon Dratini. Along with more Dratinis appearing in the wild, evolving Dragonair from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time allows the Dra\gonite to learn the exclusive charge attack Draco Meteor.
Furthermore, event bonuses during this event include:
- 3x Catch Stardust
- Incense activated during the event last for three hours
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- The chance to encounter Dratini in snapshots during the event
Along with the active bonuses during the event, there will also be a special Community Day Special Research story. Known as Dratini Community Day Classic, the full details of what the research will entail isn’t currently known, but expect plenty of Dratini spawns, as well as a likely encounter with Dragonair that you will evolve into Dragonite.
Tickets for the Community Day Special Research are $1.00, or the equivalent in your local currency.
Lastly, Niantic is also reminding trainers that they are able to purchase and gift tickets to friends. If you have reached a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher, you can send that person the Research as a gift.
The last time we saw Dratini in a community day was Feb. 2018. One of the first, users were ecstatic to catch the Dragon type Pokémon. While the blue lizard has been a part of several events, this will be the first time in quite awhile that trainers will be able to hunt Dratini until their hearts are full. While the event doesn’t provide any additional XL Candy, this will no doubt be a great time to stockpile. The 3x catch Stardust is also nice.
This will be a great event for Startdust, so be sure to throw on a Star Piece while you play.
